I'm selling Avon because it is one of about three or four cosmetics brands I can use without an allergic reaction. They have gray and brown eyeliners, a good mascara, and lipsticks and glosses in berry, peach, and red shades...pretty much the only makeup that looks good on me. And...while they do sell up to date products, and products that allow customers to put together the latest, trendiest looks....I have to admit I love their "forever retro" image.
I signed up to sell for them because just by signing up, I get a 25% discount, and if I sell some Avon, I can use my commission and bonuses to make my products even cheaper, or free. If things go especially well, I would like to cash out some of that commission and use my Avon sales to fund getting my hair trimmed and colored at a local salon. That's it.
There will be no showing up to your gigs passing out tiny perfume vials and Avon books. If you see me out and around, I won't "just happen to mention" that some Avon product would be the perfect solution to your problems, or swear that you will be able to fund your next project if you sign up to sell Avon with me.
